A panel of experts at a free webinar will discuss their experiences of using participatory methods in health research.

The event – on Thursday, 25 April 2024 – will explore the challenges of designing and implementing creative and participatory approaches.

It is being organised by a new methodological special interest group, co-ordinated by NCRM, which will bring together health researchers from a variety of disciplines.

The speakers are Dr Victoria Newton and Professor Rebecca Jones from The Open University, and Professor Jelke Boesten of King’s College London.

They will discuss the lessons they have learnt from using participatory approaches and touch on issues such as ethics, maintaining participant engagement and mapping impact.

Attendees are encouraged to submit their questions in advance and can do so via the registration page.

The webinar, which starts at 14:30 BST, is part of a new series organised by the group. It will provide an opportunity for researchers and professionals at all career stages to delve into practical methodological discussions.
