Description:

The workshop is fully funded by the Society for the Advancement of Management Studies. It is also the pre-conference workshop for 14th Ethnography symposium. (http://www2.port.ac.uk/portsmouth-business-school/conferences-and-business-events/ethnography-2019/)

The workshop will commence by offering critical insights into current visual methods discussed in management and business literature and will progressively build the attendee's understanding by employing different visual methods/ analytical skills, including semiotic analysis, social media in visual research and self-portrait.

We also offer a limited number of bursaries to PhDs students as a contribution to their travel and accommodation costs (up to 100 pounds). We will communicate with successful candidates before August. If you have not heard from us before 1st August your application for a bursary has not been successful. Should you still wish to attend the workshop, you will need to fund your own travel and accommodation costs.

This full-day workshop will be delivered by Dr. Carol Zhang (University of Portsmouth), Prof. Samantha Warren (University of Portsmouth) and Dr. Harriet Shortt (University of the West of England).
