Description:

The last decade has seen a resurgence of interest in both the history of health and disease and the analysis of historical datasets in medicine and epidemiology. There is a growing acknowledgement of the idea that the health of past generations can provide an important pointer to the understanding of both present and future health trends. This workshop will seek to continue the dialogue between history and epidemiology by providing a forum for historians, demographers, epidemiologists and others to discuss new approaches to the study of long-term changes in health and disease.

Attendance will be limited to 25 participants (not including the invited speakers), and places will be allocated on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.

This is a free event
