Description:

This course is intended to be an Introduction to the Python programming language. Through the use of taught material and practical examples, participants will build up the skills needed to perform data analysis using Python.

Participants will leave with a good working knowledge of Python allowing them to deal with and manipulate data. The final afternoon will bring all this together with a larger scale set of data which the attendees will perform data analysis upon.

Topics covered include:

Day 1: Introducing the Python Eco System, Types, Variables and Data Structure, Functions and Objects

Day 2: Numpy, Pandas and Matplotlib introduction, Data Anaylsis with Python
