Description:

This short course is designed to introduce students to the theory and practice of Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA). Those who attend are introduced to a critical understanding of discourse, which in turn encourages the analysis of language use in relation to questions of power in society. The short course seeks to enable engagement in such analyses, introducing appropriate methods and techniques, and providing the opportunity to put these into practice.
