Description:

In recent years, the world has faced significant energy price shocks, which have fueled concerns about energy poverty and household debt. The impact on households' quality of life is significant, affecting physical and mental health. This seminar provides a rigorous conceptual and measurement toolkit to define, construct, and validate energy poverty indicators from different data sources and to map plausible pathways to diverse health and well-being outcomes. With hands‑on Stata labs, the seminar also covers basic causal inference and health‑econometrics skills to produce credible estimates on the link between energy poverty and people's health and well-being.
