This masterclass is aimed at those with some experience of mixed methods research. You will need to be comfortable with both quantitative and qualitative approaches, and the basic principles of mixed methods research. It is preferable that you have previously attended an introduction to mixed methods course or similar.

The Methodical masterclass will be delivered by experienced mixed methods researchers Dr Sarah Jasim, a senior research fellow at University College London and London School of Economics and Dr Ruth Plackett, a senior research fellow at University College London.

The course will cover:

  • Planning & designing a mixed methods project

  • Integrated designs

  • Integrated analyses

  • Group discussions of real life examples, challenges and solutions
