Description:
The first academic meeting of the National Centre for Research Methods (NCRM) as a whole focusing on the challenges posed to the Centre by the broader social science community, not just by those disciplines which are already well-represented within the Centre’s activities. Three speakers have been invited to provide an overview of some of the methodological challenges currently facing their disciplines and pose a series of questions to NCRM in relation to those challenges, questions which will be discussed by NCRM staff in follow-up group discussions.Presentations by Mr Alex Bryson (Policy Studies Institute), Professor John Furlong (Oxford University) and Dr Karen Henwood (University of East Anglia).
