Description:

This is a course aimed those teaching quantitative research methods (QM). Anxiety about maths and/or statistics is often considered a key barrier to learning quantitative methods in the social sciences and more widely.

This course provides an integrated and comprehensive framework that practitioners can use to inform teachers’ pedagogy and mitigate anxiety.

The course introduces practitioners to evidenced strategies and tactics that have been shown to help teach those with statistics anxiety.

Recent research is also highlighted to provide frameworks from which to build a pedagogical approach that acknowledges statistics anxiety in learners.
