NCRM and the YouthLife project have launched a new podcast series on qualitative longitudinal and mixed methods research.

The six-part series features inspiring conversations with leading international experts, who offer advice and insight on key methodological issues.

The first episode of the series is available now on NCRM’s Methods podcast, which listeners can find on the NCRM website, Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

New episodes will be released monthly.

The opening episode features a conversation with Professor Johnny Saldaña of Arizona State University, a leading authority on qualitative and qualitative longitudinal methods.

Professor Saldaña discusses his research methodology model and shares tips on research questions, analytical approaches, writing and ethics.

Each of the following episodes will feature a conversation with a renowned expert, who will discuss their use of different methods throughout their career and describe their learning experiences.

Through these conversations, NCRM and YouthLife hope to provide upcoming researchers with rich, behind-the-scenes accounts of methods being applied successfully in a variety of fields.

The YouthLife project is an international collaboration that aims to strengthen research on youth transitions from a life course perspective.

It is funded by the European Union and is a collaboration between four partners across Europe: the University of Southampton, Tallinn University, the University of Bamberg and the Netherlands Interdisciplinary Demographic Institute.
