One of NCRM’s regular trainers, Dr Helen Kara, has co-edited a new book that explores the creative ways in which researchers have adapted methods in response to challenges arising from crises.

The book, Qualitative and Digital Research in Times of Crisis: Methods, Reflexivity, and Ethics, considers issues such as the COVID-19 pandemic, disasters and violent conflict.

Dr Kara edited the book with Dr Su-ming Khoo of National University of Ireland, Galway.

The contributors to the book highlight the importance of responsive, ethical and creative research design, and the need to develop methods for fostering mutual, reflexive and healthy relationships in times of crisis.
