Abstract Details

The 'in conversation' sessions are new to the festival, providing informal after dinner events in which a leading social scientist is engaged in conversation about various aspects of their work over the course of their distinguished career. Thomas D. Cook has been the recipient of various prizes and awards in recognition of his his work spanning the social sciences on theory and method (especially social experimentation and causal generalization), on education and evaluation of school reform, and on youth and social contexts.
