Description:
Game Theory for Social Scientists
Tuesday 15th May 2018 | 11:30 am- 5 pm | R3.41 Ramphal Building, Library Road | University of Warwick
Professor Abhinay Muthoo
This one day workshop will present some of the fundamental concepts and methods of Game Theory. It will do so in a non-technical manner, aimed at the non-specialist and people with no background in maths or economics. A couple of real applications involving “conflict and cooperation” will be discussed, drawing on the workings of government and interactions between politicians and civil servants.
The aim is to inspire and excite social scientists to be able to consume this subject but also to be able to use it both in their research and in other walks of life, including how to negotiate a better deal for oneself!
Cost:
Free - a small number of travel bursaries will be made available to non- Warwick students attending.
