This workshop will explore dynamics and complexities of doing collaborative ethnography today, especially that which engages research within shifting and multifaceted field contexts.  With emphasis on collaboration research between and among researchers and local research participants / consultants, it will focus on the logistics, processes, and challenges of collaborative research strategies. The course will include discussion of the developments in collaborative ethnography over the past two decades and suggest new and emergent themes now informing collaborative ethnography as it moves into new theoretical and methodological terrain.  Participants will be encouraged to reflect on their own collaborative experiences and the experiences of others as they consider various collaborative research models and approaches.
