Description:

Dissecting the course title, SEM is a (if not the most) widely used multivariate technique for hypothesising complex relationships among variables and testing the resultant statistical models and it is applied in many disciplines. R (www.R-project.org) is open source software that is becoming the global standard in statistical computing, offering an extensive collection of tools for statistics and data analysis (as well as a powerful programming language coupled with flexible visualization). Specifically, the “lavaan” package provides commercial-quality latent variable modelling capabilities, for instance Path Analysis, Confirmatory Factor Analysis, SEM, and Growth Curve Models.
