NCRM online training resources
NCRM nodes contribute to the development of data processing software and research methods support materials. NCRM nodes have developed or contributed to the development of the following online resources.
EPPI-Reviewer
EPPI-Reviewer is a web application that enables researchers to manage the entire lifecyle of a review in a single location. Users are able to upload studies for screening, complete keywording and data extractions and analyse the results over the internet. EPPI-Reviewer can be accessed through the Methods for Research Synthesis (MRS) website. The developers have also created instructional EPPI-Reviewer 4 YouTube videos.
MLwiN and online course in multilevel modelling
MLwiN software package enables researchers to create a visual interface for multilevel modelling. These graphical interfaces allow the user easily to set up, fit and manipulate models. There are windows for data manipulation, plotting, viewing the progress of iterations etc. Predictions from fitted models can be specified directly using standard statistical notation with direct links to various kinds of derived graphs, which are automatically updated as model parameters change. More information and to download the software package please go to the MLwiN webpage on LEMMA / Centre for Multilevel Modelling website.
LEMMA/CMM also offer a free online course in multilevel modelling (requires online registration).
Gallery of multilevel papers and multilevel showcase
LEMMA/CMM offer a new searchable database of publications that have used multilevel modelling. If you have attended a LEMMA workshop, used the online course or MLwiN software, you can add your own publications.
R package
R is a language and environment for statistical computing, the most popular platform for new statistical algorithm development. ecoreg fits a range of models for this form of ecological and individual data, using maximum likelihood estimation. The R-project has created R manuals to support the users of the software.

Qualitative evaluation of LEMMA online course questions
This evaluation report considers the quality of the questions that form part of the Learning Environment for Multilevel Methodology and Applications (LEMMA) online course.
Use of the LEMMA online learning materials
This report outlines the nature of the LEMMA course users, including their statistical experience. It goes on to look at patterns of use, including use of quizzes and the performance of students who have tackled the quizzes. Some of the quiz responses indicate issues about the design of the items, whilst others appear to show which concepts were difficult for users.
