Abstract Details

This session explores opportunities for developing and integrating qualitative methods for researching locality and place. The session draws on current research and methodological development being undertaken under the auspices of the Wales Institute of Social and Economic Research, Data and Methods. The contributions focus on the ways in which place and space can be productively worked on and worked with in the development of methods to capture and 'map' local knowledge and local sense making. Papers include discussions of methodological development for exploring spatial urban practice, researching civil society networks, and understanding people's relationships with and in places
