Title: In-depth Qualitative Data Analysis - Tracing an Interviewees' Sense of Self Through I-Poems
Name: Susie Weller
Affiliation: London South Bank University
Abstract Details
This hands-on workshop will explore a method of in-depth qualitative data analysis in which researchers work with interview transcripts to identify and interpret interviewees' subjectivity. The I-poem method focuses on how interviewees talk about themselves. Following an introduction to the analytic method and an overview of how to construct I-poems tracing an interviewee's sense of self within interview data, the workshop will involve participants in exploring the method using case studies of children and young people from the Your Space! data set of the Timescapes qualitative longitudinal study.
