RMF2012 Abstracts

Session: Tuesday 3rd July PM (16.00 - 17.30)

Title: Advanced Applied Psychometrics

Name: Tim Croudace

Affiliation: University of Cambridge

Abstract Details

This sessions comprises two talks.
The first talk illustrates results achieved and conclusions that result from applying ordinal factor analysis models to complex data using item factor analysis and item response theory models. It considers latent trait models for up to 5 dimensions and ideas of general/specific factors - "bifactor" analysis.

The second talk considers the topic of calibration studies in which two or more measures are related. Pooling studies would often enable us to answer questions with greater precision or answer questions that cannot be answered by any of the contributing studies alone. Imputation and other methods are discussed.
