Abstract Details

Career building for early career researchers from the perspectives of employers of, and providers of training to, researchers. Bobby Duffy will focus on skills and experience from the point of view of recruiting researchers, and what additional training IPSOS-MORI need to provide. Professor John MacInnes will talk about quantitative skills, and the training opportunities for those who wish to improve those skills. Sharon Witherspoon will explain the reasons for Nuffield's commitment to improving the quantitative skills of researchers. Professor Sir David Watson will share ideas on how to survive and thrive as an early-career social scientific researcher.
