RMF2012 Abstracts

Session: Monday 2nd July PM (15.30 - 17.00)

Title: Gathering Bio Measures

Name: Sam Clemens

Affiliation: NatCen

Abstract Details

Collecting biological data in the survey context is increasingly common for survey practitioners, and there are many useful biomeasures that can be collected as part of a survey. Integrating biomeasures into surveys has the potential to advance our understanding of health and behaviour, as it links what people say with objective measures of their health (as well as, potentially, with their underlying genetic make up). Panellists in this session share the approaches they have taken to integrate biological measures into surveys, as well as looking at how biological data can be used to enhance understanding.
