Dr. Misagh Tasavori is a senior lecturer at the Business at Essex Business School. She obtained a PhD in Business Administration from Manchester Business School. She has the experience of teaching and conducting both qualitative and quantitative research and has published a number of papers in top-ranked journals including International Business Review, Entrepreneurship and Regional Development, International Marketing Review and Journal of General Management. She has also been successful in obtaining several internal and external grant applications.

The course leader will share her experience of how to develop a successful grant application. The indicative list of aspects that will be discussed are:
- How to identify sources of funding
- Factors to be considered before applying for funding
- How to write an abstract of a grant application
- How to write a research proposal for a grant application
- How to write research outputs section in a grant application
- How to write a plan of action in a grant application
- How to calculate financial costings in a grant application
- Factors to be considered after applying for funding
