Description:

This two-day research seminar provides an insight to research methods from a theoretical and practical perspective.

Day 1 - Contextualises quantitative and qualitative methods, research design and formulation of research tools.

Day 2 - Focuses on data analysis methods through the software use of SPSS (quantitative analysis) and NVivo (qualitative analysis).

 

Objectives:

The course will:

- Introduce participants with a conceptual understanding of quantitative and qualitative methods

- Introduce participants to a qualitative and quantitative data collection

- Provide participants with a practical introduction to SPSS (quantitative analysis)

- Provide participants with a practical introduction to NVIVO (qualitative analysis)

Cost:

£70 for both days, £40 for one day.
