Generalized Additive Models (GAMs) are an extension of traditional regression models. Attendees will gain an understanding of what GAM models are, when they are useful and how they can be used to perforn statistical analysis, for inferential or predictive purposes. For those who already have some experience using GAMs will learn about the new Big Data and visual GAM methods, as well as GAMLSS models and quantile GAMs.
