Description:

This introductory webinar is intended for anyone who wants to learn about the key survey datasets available from the UK Data Service which provide snapshots of the UK or that allow comparisons to be made across countries. The UK Data Service provides access to a wide range of survey series such as the British Social Attitudes Survey, the Labour Force Survey and the Health Survey for England. We also provide access to a number of cross-national surveys such as such as the Eurobarometer surveys and the European Election Studies. These surveys cover many topics and most of them can be downloaded after a short registration. They can be used for research or for teaching.

This webinar will cover:

• an overview of UK and cross-national microdata available from the UK Data Service
• key features of some of our most commonly used surveys: Quarterly Labour Force Survey, British Social Attitudes Survey, Health Survey for England and the Eurobarometer surveys
• access conditions and getting further help

The webinar will consist of a 30 minute presentation followed by 20 minutes for questions.
