Description:

Web surveys are becoming one of the most popular methods of survey data collection. This course has two strands: (1) to provide a thorough grounding in the questionnaire design aspects of web surveys (the questions, the visual layout), while (2) looking at wider implementation issues around the questionnaire (e.g., unique things about web surveys; web specific decisions like progress bars and multimedia; web survey implementation issues like invitations, reminders and incentives; software; testing and designing for mobile devices). Throughout, the course explores both hidden pitfalls and good practice and combines practical knowledge with advice from current research on web surveys.
