Description:

Do you want to know the latest developments in health data from social surveys? Would you like to understand more about the impact of COVID-19 on these studies and their outputs? Are you interested in research using health data?

The annual Health Studies User Conference is a one-day conference organised by the UK Data Service in collaboration with UCL and NatCen Social Research. This year the conference will again be held online and is free to attend.

We are very pleased to announce that the keynote speaker for this year's conference is Guy Goodwin, Chief Executive, National Centre for Social Research (NatCen) who will be discussing the future of surveys post-pandemic.

The conference will feature talks by data producers on the latest updates and developments of key health studies (including updates on COVID-19 data), as well as presentations on research carried out using the data.

There will be parallel research presentation sessions on the themes of:

  • Health and inequalities
  • Ageing
  • Ethnicity and Mental Health
  • COVID-19

Each session will include talks from researchers who have conducted analyses using these data as well as a Q&A.

Attendees will also hear updates from the data producers of key UK social surveys (cross-sectional and longitudinal studies) with health-related content, such as:

  • Health Survey for England
  • Opinions and Lifestyle Survey
  • Birth Cohort Studies
  • Understanding Society
  • English Longitudinal Study of Ageing
  • Evidence for Equality National Survey
  • and more...
