Description:

This practical workshop looks at the craft of writing about research methods and methodology in different forms of academic publishing. The course looks at the different expectations and requirements when writing the following: Methodological journal articles, a ‘methodology section’ in a research paper, and books and book chapters about research methods. This workshop is geared to those in the social sciences with an interest in writing for publication about methodological issue and practices.

The course covers:

Please note, this workshop does not cover the topic of writing the PhD methodology chapter, and those looking for guidance on that topic need to enrol on Dr Brindle’s workshop on ‘How to Write your PhD Methodology Chapter.

By the end of the course participants will:

This entry/intermediate level course is aimed at PhD students, post-docs, ECRs and junior researchers in the social sciences looking to write research papers, methods papers and books about research methods.
