Call for Methodological Innovation Projects

As a complement to the research programme being undertaken by the National Centre for Research Methods (NCRM) through its Hub and Nodes, the Centre wishes to commission between 8 to 10 short-term methodological research and development projects to run between 1 April 2013 and 30 September 2014. Funding of up to £160k (ESRC contribution); £200k (fEC) is available per project.

The focus of these projects will be on topic areas that have been identified as representing important gaps in existing national coverage, they are as follows:

  • Survey methods;
  • Administrative/linked data
  • Qualitative longitudinal methods;
  • Social media analysis;
  • Methods which exploit potential synergies at the boundaries of the arts, humanities and social sciences;
  • Biosocial data methods.

A completed Application Form must be in PDF format along with a completed Costing Template. These forms must be submitted by email to NCRM Administrator Nicky Jackson at n.d.jackson@soton.ac.uk by 16.00 on Wednesday 23 January 2013. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
