We have added a new working paper to our website: 'Anonymising Research Data' by Andrew Clark. Andrew works on our Connected Lives project and this paper outlines the issues around the anonymisation of data collected in the project. It argues against a 'blanket anonymisation' of all data at an early stage in the research process and instead suggests an ongoing and iterative approach to anonymisation from data collection, analysis, dissemination and archiving.
