Description:

The workshop will be taking place on Tuesday 23rd February with a lecture from 10am - 12pm and a practical session from 2pm - 4pm.

After a quick introduction to the potential outcomes framework and a revision of the logic of randomized experiments, we will discuss both sharp and fuzzy regression discontinuity designs (RDD), their applicability in a wide variety of contexts, and implicit tests of the underlying assumptions. The methods covered in the lectures will be applied in the lab session. All students are welcome to attend, although participants will get the most out of the lecture and lab if they have some prior knowledge of linear regression.
