Description:
This course is about extending analysis of variance (ANOVA) techniques to include covariates and multiple outcomes using general linear modelling, focusing on the practical application of the techniques rather than their mathematical complexities. This course is aimed at all who need to analyse data from studies where there are multiple groups, confounding variables and/or multiple outcomes.
The topics covered in this course are defining analysis of variance (ANOVA) as a General Linear Model, analysis of covariance (ANCOVA), multiple analysis of variance (MANOVA) and multiple analysis of covariance (MANCOVA). These topics will be demonstrated using SPSS.
This pick & mix topic is also available as part of our “Advanced Data Modelling” course, alongside other pick & mix topics. Please note that by doing the combined course, you would be obtaining a discount on the fees for undertaking the individual pick & mix elements.
See our full range of courses (including our entire “Pick & Mix” selection) at http://go.herts.ac.uk/sscu or contact the course organiser, Dr Neil Spencer, on 01707 285529, statistics@herts.ac.uk.
Prior knowledge of hypothesis testing, ANOVA and regression is essential.
