Description:

This three-day course will provide an introduction to the statistical software package Stata. It is appropriate for people who have some experience of data analysis and wish to use Stata but have no prior experience of the package.

The course will involve short professional demonstrations followed by participants practising in short sessions throughout the day. The following topics will be covered :-

  • Setting Up Stata
  • Loading Data Files into Stata
  • Summary Statistics
  • Cross-tabulations
  • Metric and Categorical Variables
  • Correlations
  • Linear Regression
  • Logistic Regression Models
  • Multinomial Logistic Regression Models
  • Data Management
  • Graphing Data

Refreshments and lunch will be provided on each day.
