Description:

The workshop consists of a 2 hour lecture plus 2 hour computer class.
This workshop gives an overview of statistical methods for the analysis of time-to-event data (known in various contexts as event history analysis, survival analysis, or lifetime data analysis). The topics covered include the basic ideas of such analysis, exploratory analysis, and regression modelling of event history data (including parametric models, the semiparametric Cox proportional hazards model, and discrete-time survival models). Unlike other MY560 sessions, this workshop does not have a separate computer class, but examples of event history analysis in Stata will be shown during the lectures. The workshop assumes familiarity with applied regression modelling.
