Description:

This course is about exploring a dataset to find underlying factors that give rise to the variables recorded or examining a dataset to see if a theory about the underlying factors can be confirmed.

It is aimed at all who need to investigate a dataset to find underlying factors. The course will focus on the practical application of the technique rather than its mathematical complexities.

The topic covered in this course is factor analysis (including principal components analysis). This topic will be demonstrated using SPSS and a custom-built add-in for Microsoft Excel.

Prior knowledge of linear regression is essential.

This pick & mix topic is also available as part of our “Essential Topics in Multivariate Data Analysis” course, alongside other pick & mix topics. Please note that by doing the combined course, you would be obtaining a discount on the fees for undertaking the individual pick & mix elements.
