Description:

Conference aim and scope: Fifteen years after the term ‘multimodality’ emerged on the communicational landscape this conference poses some critical questions: What theories and methods do we have now, and how are they used? What are they used for? What is new methodologically? What is needed and what is next? This two-day conference is designed to bring together new and established scholars working across the field of multimodality to explore methodological developments. Key notes and MODE showcases by Jeff Bezemer, Rosie Flewitt, Gunther Kress, Carey Jewitt and Sara Price.

Conference focus and themes: Multimodal methodological exploration is the focus, and we welcome theoretical, empirical, novel applications, review papers with a methodological focus on multimodality, including:

  • Methodological processes and practices
