Description:

There are many common challenges in empirical economics and health research, including issues to do with missing data, clustering, measurement error, mediation, censoring or selection. But these problems are often described and addressed in different ways, according to the disciplinary perspective.

This workshop is a first move to bring together researchers in applied economics and health. It aims to stimulate the interaction between researchers in the two disciplines, promoting the discussion of alternative approaches to common problems and the interchange of ideas and experiences. The focus will be on some of the methods commonly adopted by the two disciplines and their implications in practice for the measurement of causal relationships.
